We conduct research to understand the environmental, behavioral, and social factors that drive infectious disease transmission. Our work develops and evaluates interventions, models disease dynamics, and generates evidence to strengthen prevention strategies and inform public health policy.

SWIFT II
SWIFT II was a continuation of the first trial in rural Ethiopia (WUHA I) designed to determine the effectiveness of water, sanitation, and hygiene (WASH) for trachoma.
VACCINE EXEMPLARS
As part of the series of exemplar projects funded by The Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, we are examined why and how countries have succeed in achieving high and improved vaccine coverage rates.
WASH/NTD COLLABORATION
We have partnered with numerous organizations focused on strengthening collaborative efforts between WASH and NTD sectors.
WASH Modeling
In collaboration with researchers from the School of Public Health at the University of Michigan we developed a transmission modeling framework to support evidence-based context-specific WASH intervention planning.
